LS Campus: RF overdriven signal

*** UPDATE 9/10/2010 ***
Confirmed, the analog RF Modulator was overdriving. I changed the channel to 16.1 and installed the attenuator, no change in the quality.

Next, I adjusted the analog RF Modulator’s output gain and video gain. This solved the problem….
The fixed position is:
The output gain is now set to the 9 o’clock position and the video gain is at the 12 o’clock position.
It will be good to have this archived for future reference should those values get adjusted…

The HD-RF signal at the LS Campus (Digital channel 8.1) has a poor image.

I discovered the analog signal (Analog channel 6) is causing interference on the digital channel 8.1. At this point, I’m looking at two options to resolve the issue. First is to add an Attenuator to the analog channel to reduce the signal. The second option is to change the digital channel to a higher channel that is further away from the analog interference.

I will try both methods later this week to see what is the best solution.
