The process to encode the live video at the LS campus and Olathe campus has changed. We are no longer using the Watershed.Ustream.tv as the cdn, we are now using Akamai ( http://www.akamai.com/ ) for all content distribution over the web.
How does this impact you at the LS/Olathe campus?
- The Live Media Encoder will now run in a DOS command prompt window. Just launch the app, from the desktop, the encoding will begin. You will not see a preview of the video as it is being encoded
- You no longer need to launch the web page to push the video up to the watershed.ustream.tv servers
The chat will continue to work as normal. No change.
